The World Series of Poker announced the 2014-15 WSOP Circuit Tour Schedule yesterday with 21 stops to be held across the territories of America. The largest poker tournament series of USA will roll off on July 31st at Palm Beach Kennel Club in Palm Beach and explore the lenght and breadth of the country. This popular tourney which awards its winners with the coveted WSOP Circuit Ring will have buyins ranging from $365 to $1675.
3 new stops have been added this year with Horseshoe Baltimore, Maryland (Feb. 26 – March 9, 2015), Planet Hollywood, Las Vegas (Nov. 13-24, 2014) and Harrah’s Ak-Chin, near Phoenix, Arizona (Feb. 12-23, 2015) added to the circuit. Two of the WSOP’s most popular stops, Palm Beach Kennel Club and Harrah’s Cherokee “Double Up” with events in 2014 + 2015. Lumière Place, in St. Louis, a late addition to the schedule last season, returns again Feb. 19 – March 2, 2015.
The Season gets into full swing from August and will culminate into the National Championship in May 2015. A points-ranking system for all open ring tournament participants will be used and reward those players who participate in multiple events – with the Top 100 players qualifying for the WSOP Circuit National Championship (May, 2015). There will be 42 automatic qualifiers with 58 additional players expected to qualify based on points earned throughout their play on the circuit.
While the winner of the circuit events will win the WSOP Circuit Ring, A WSOP gold bracelet and a minimum $1,000,000 prize pool will again be on the line in the season-finale National Championship. Most stops will begin on a thursday and will extend to 12 days featuring 12 ring awarding events. The Main Events will be featured as re-entry event at most stops with morning and evening flights.
