Weekend Indian Poker Pot: Abhishek Rathod tops the money list; Grib shines in Adda52 PMT

While the entire poker community of the country is awaiting its maiden WSOP bracelet, the online grinders are storming the virtual felt. This weekend, the 3 events of the Adda52 Poker Millionaire Tour added an additional zing to the online poker in India. The regular MTT grinders in the country fetched a few notable scores on PokerStars and Adda52 while Abhishek Rathod took the action to Titan Poker and Winamax.

The action started on Friday with Sahil ‘$lim$hady19’ Chutani winning the $5.10 NL Hold’em [Hyper-Turbo], $5K Gtd on PokerStars for $1,056.09. This came as the 3rd tourney winning for the Delhi-based Sahil this month. In the first event of Adda52 PMT series this weekend, praveenmac triumphed the 1 Lac Finale bagging the top prize of Rs 30,000. Arvindhan LakshmiNarayanan aka tiltalert86 joined the Friday bash later that night by winning the PS $11 NL Hold’em [8-Max], $5K Gtd on PokerStars. Arvindhan who is only $6,244 behind to reach the $100K mark in online tourney winnings was one of the shortest stacks on the final table of this tourney. But, he gained stack steadily and went on to win for $950.

The biggest event of Adda52 PMT series which guarantees a prize pool of Rs 5 Lacs kicked off on Saturday and after hours of battle, it was Grib taking down the top prize of Rs Rs 1.6 Lacs. danielabhi4 bagged Rs  97,500 in the runner-up place of this event. Abhishek Rathod joined the MTT action on Titan Poker and won the €5,000 Gtd Pearl event besting a field of 197 players for $1,211.55.

Sunday saw winner2014 taking down the top prize of Rs 60,000 in the Adda52 PMT 2 Lac Finale. The action continued on Monday on the virtual felt with 3 notable final table finishes by Indian players. Abhishek Rathod bagged $3,592.26, the biggest cash prize of the Weekend Indian Poker Pot finishing 3rd in the Winamax AFTER WORK tourney. Shyam Shahani also made a 3rd place finish in The Hot $109 [Turbo], $10K Gtd on PokerStars adding $1,751 to his online poker winnings. Shekhar ‘shakysh@rk’ Singh made a valiant 6th place finish in the $82 NL Hold’em [6-Max, Turbo, Progressive Super-Knockout] pocketing $253.
