Vladimir Bozinovic was crowned the WPT Baden Champion as he won the title and became richer by richer by $271,258 at the end of the World Poker Tour in Baden, Switzerland. The Serbians’ first WPT title and highest cash ever came together with this win. He was the chip leader on Day 3 and Day 4 but the favourite on the penultimate day seemed to be Double WPT Champion, Marvin Rettenmaier. But the latter had to be content with the fifth place and $59,496 only.

Grzegorz Wyraz was the first to exit as he started as the shortest stack in the final table of six players when he shoved all in with pocket 5’s. Oswin Ziegelbecker called from big blind with his pocket 6’s and the board gave out Kh 10s 2s, 6s, 4c giving the former the elimination sign.

Rettenmaier chased history to become only the 3rd player to win 3 WPT titles but fell short as he got stuck with his Kh Qs against Kimmo Kurko’s Ac Qc. A hopeless situation for the German and the board turning up Jd 7d 5d didn’t offer any hope. With no diamonds with either player, the turn was a non consequential 10d while river was 3h.

After this win, Kurko didn’t fair too well and lost many hands and finally finished in fourth place and won $81,034. Three-way play lasted till Level 29 with blinds at 40,000/80,000. Oswin was the casualty who finally won $111,587. Oswin was well in front when he went all in with As Kh and was called by Bozinovic with Ac 10c. The flop was Ah Qc 7s but the unlucky turn card was 10s and river was a blank 2h. Bozinovic consolidated his lead with this and went into heads up action with Paul Berende. The latter finished runners up with $172,695.
