PokerStars new Poker Room opened its doors to public this week as The Hippodrome debuted with a charity bounty poker tournament. This Poker room will host poker tournaments across the year and also have 24 hour action for live poker players. It is also said that an online poker site will also be launched under the Hippodrome brand.
The opening of this physical casino was made to coincide with the start of the UKIPT. This PokerStars Live Poker Room is just the second one that PokerStar’s holding company, Rational Group has opened. While Casino Gran Madrid opened last month, a Macau casino is expected to open in April.
This is just the second brick and mortar casino for PokerStars but it also holds relations with casinos in New Jersey and Belgium. PokerStars also signed a deal to acquire the Atlantic Club Casino Hotel earlier this year.
