Ivey, Hachem and Trickett To Captain Their Teams in WSOP APAC Caesers Cup

Phil Ivey will captain Team America in the Caesars Cup- an invite only tournament which will have Team Asia Pacific, Team Americas and Team Europe fighting against each other. Caesars Cup returns after an year’s gap and will be held under the inaugural World Series of Poker Asia Pacific(WSOP APAC) from April 4-15 2013. 

The WSOP APAC will be awarding 5 gold WSOP Bracelets and will be held at Crown Casino, Melbourne. Apart from the five bracelet events, the WSOP will also host a AUD $ 50,000 high roller event to kick off the WSOP APAC leg. 

The Caesars Cup will see some of the biggest names from the three continents fighting for poker glory. Heading Team Americas is Phil Ivey, 8 times WSOP Bracelet winner while Joe Hachem, 2005 WSOP Main Event Champ will be in charge of the Asia Pacific Team. Team Europe will be captained by Sam Trickett, famed runners up at last years Big One for One Drop event. Each Captain will choose four more players for his regions team and these will be announced by WSOP closer to the event.The Caesars Cup will be in a way the finale to the WSOP APAC poker tournament and will be held on April 14th 2013.
