Avinash Rath prevailed over a field of 31 players as Friday Fusion-10K Double Chance Freezeout No Limit Texas Hold’em event of the India Poker Series(IPS) ended at Casino Carnival here yesterday. IPS Chapter 19 started off at Panjim, Goa on 28th March with Thursday Thunder- 5k Freezeout Event and Friday saw action finish in the wee hours as Rath took top spot.

The total prize pool comprised of Rs.3,00,000 from which Rath pocketed Rs.1.17 Lakhs. Bharat Agarwalla was placed second and won Rs. 78,000 while Anurag Rawat won Rs 50,000 for third place. The poker tournament started at 10 PM in the floating Casino Carnival in Mandovi River, Goa and ended at 6 AM as Rath prevailed over a solid field of players.

Hussain Lakda was placed fourth and was richer by Rs. 30K while Prateek Lohia finished fifth and just missed out on the cash. IPS is a premier Poker League of India and organises poker tournaments through the year in Goa. The March edition of Season 19 is their first poker tournament in India this year. Tonight will witness the Main Event in Saturday Showdown-20 K Freezeout while Sunday will see 10K Pot Limit Omaha action.
