22 years old full-time student form Canada, Chanracy Khun has won the Season XI World Poker Tour Championship held at Barcelona, Spain. This is Khun’s first major career live win. After triumphing at the final table, Khun received a whooping amount of $258,448 along with an entry in the season ending $25,000 World Poker Tour World Championship. WPT World Championship will take place in the famous Bellagio, Las Vegas later this year.

Khun started the day as the chip leader on the final table and his winning streak continued on the final day of the championship. The Canadian eliminated all the other players himself and matched the record of Lukas Berglund of Sweden who has done the same at the same venue.

After eliminating all the other players one by one, Khun set up a battle heads up with Benjamin Pollak. Poker fans were expecting a long and good game between these two players but Khun disappointed them by wrapping it up fast. Pollak had to settle for the second place with a prize money of $162,882. This year 249 players participated in the bwin.es WPT Barcelona. After five days of game and defeating some of the renowned players, Khun claimed the championship.
