Daniel Negreanu wins WSOP APAC Main Event, fifth bracelet

Poker Pro Daniel Negreanu had to wait for five years to capture his fifth WSOP Bracelet and it came in style defeating a star studded line up in the Main Event of World Series of Poker(WSOP) Asia Pacific(APAC) here today. He was also richer by $1,038,825 after coming on top of a playing field of 405 players.

The final table included seasoned poker pros like Russell Thomas, Benny Spindler and Winfred Yu while Antonio Esfandiari busted on the bubble. The final table lasted for a long time and Daniel Marton had gone heads up with ‘Kid Poker’.Going into the final table as chip leader by a good margin, everyone expected the Team PokerStars Pro to win and he obliged.

Negreanu now stands on the same podium of 5 bracelets as Stu Unggar, Jeff Lisandro, Scotty Nguyen and many others. It has been a tough fight and many close finishes for Negreanu before he has finally found his fifth bracelet.
