On Thursday, the long wait for Australian poker fans came to an end when  By annihilating the final table of Event#4, Lim became the first Australian to win a gold bracelet at the inaugural WSOP APAC at Crown Casino, Melbourne.

The action was lightning fast at the final table as all other players, except the last two, got eliminated just after 31 hands of play. For the title Aaron was facing his compatriot Andy lee. Andy was in lead in terms of chips but it was simply not his day. After some ups and downs in the game, he had to settle with the second position. The prize money won by Lim was AU$233,800 and Lee received AU$144,530.
