Jonathan Hilton, who burst on the poker scene in 2012 with a second place finish in WSOP, won his first live tournament title when he captured the Event 8, $365 No Limit Hold’em at the WSOP Horseshoe Council Bluffs.
Hilton was very new to the poker world when he grabbed spotlight by finishing runners up in Event 59, $1,000 No Limit Hold’em in the 43rd World Series of Poker(WSOP). He won more than $400,000 for his effort but no poker bracelet. With this win yesterday he has added a poker title also to his stables. His appetite for live poker tournament only increased after that and he cashed in many times during the WSOP Circuit events and even finished in the final table 3 times.
Though he wins a little over $16,000 for his Horseshoe efforts but this WSOP gold ring is very important for him. He defeated Freddy Hamad with whom he started heads up play with a 3 to 1 chip advantage.
In other updates from the Horseshoe Circuit, Tripp Kirk is heading the final table of Event 9 $580 No Limit Hold’em. The champion will be richer by around $26,000 and the two time WSOP circuit champion is looking to win another WSOP Gold ring.
