Goa Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar today threatened to eliminate all 5 offshore Goa Casinos before his tenure of 4 years at the helm  is complete. The CM stated that by the time his 4 year tenure as CM is completed, there will be no Casino ship in Goa’s waterfront.

Currently there are 5 off shore Goa Casino’s in ships in the River Mandavi. But Parriker made the governments intention to get the ships out as soon as possible very clear. But he admitted that the state has not stopped renewing their licenses so far since that has to be done with proper government regulations.

The CM has also stated that the Government is not entertaining any new licenses currently for Goa Casinos and has also refused one Casino ship the right to transfer its license to another management. But when quizzed on how Delta Corp. has managed to replace their old vessel with a new one, he expressed ignorance on the issue. It is worth mentioning here that Delta Corp ownes 3 of the 5 offshore casinos in Goa and on Sunday had got a new ship sailing in. This ship will be the biggest casino ship anchored in the riverfront of Goa.
