The River Mandavi in Goa has added another casino ship to its landscape now as the MV Horseshoe, touted as Goa’s biggest casino ship sailed in on Sunday. The Casino ship is owned by Delta Corp. which owns three offshore casinos in Goa. With this new bigger ship anchoring in, Jaydev Mody owned group will have something of a monopoly over the casino market of Goa.

It is speculated that this new Casino ship will have 1500 gaming zones, restaurants and several VVIP and VIP playing positions. It is also suggested that the ship will be called Casino Delta Royale.  This ship has docked midstream almost at the same spot where Casino Royale once stood. The latter has now moved closer to the Captain of Ports Jetty occupying the place of Casino Caravela. Caravela has been moved out making way for Royale.

The Mandavi River has 5 offshore casinos with Caravela phased out and the addition of Delta Royale as the biggest casino ship. Goa is extremely reliant on casino tourism with  the offshore casinos contributing a major chunk to the states revenue. Delta Corp. Group has further plans of introducing a floating hotel also in the waters with suite and luxury accommodations.
