Anthony Hachem wins ANZPT Melbourne Repechage Main Event

Anthony HachemComing down from the seventh spot in the final table, Anthony Hachem won the Pokerstars.net 2013 ANZPT Melbourne Repechage Main Event showing some aggressive and classy poker play. Hachem is richer by $181,000 after he overcame stacks double his chip size to emerge victorious. Hachem had led Day 1 of the five day event.

Going into the final table, it was Fabian Craib with the chip lead with 2,900,000 chips. Third placed Ian Thomas who sat comfortable with 2 Million chips was the first to exit the final table; Hachem and Iori Yogo were the beneficiaries of his big stack to emerge in the top 5. Dean Francis who started the final table in a good spot exit next followed by the short stacked Tony Kondevski.

They were followed by two very good eliminations of notable poker players Daniel Neilson and Michael Kannan. After 3 way competition started it took only an hour before Fabian Craib was shown the door. Iori Yogo couldnt last heads up play for long and finished in second place pocketing $126,600.

Hachem had also won the 2013 Aussie Millions and this trophy adds to his illustrious year. With this action concludes at the Crown Casino, Melbourne for ANZPT and all eyes go back to the latest WSOP Coverage where the Mike Gorodinsky won the fifth WSOP Bracelet yesterday.
