World Series of Poker (WSOP) has declared the dates and locations for its tenth edition of circuit events in year 2013-2014. There will be 22 WSOP Circuit Events in the upcoming year starting from August 2013. These events will take place throughout the year till May 2014 where it will be concluded with the last event on the tour, WSOP National Championship, where a bracelet will be awarded to the main event winner. The buy-in for these events will range from $365 to $1675. In its tenth season, the prize money for the main event winner will be $1 million and 100 top circuit players will get an automatic entry into the national championship through large bids or exemptions. The point-ranking system will be used to reward points to all ring tournament participants.
Circuit tour’s highlight ‘’12 Rings in 12 Days” will remain with all the events start on Thursday and the main event will commence on the second Saturdays. The winner of each of these main events will receive the official WSOP gold ring. WSOP Circuit tour is designed to provide non-stop poker action to the players throughout the region. Each Main event winner will have a reserved seat in the WSOP National Championship and ‘Casino Champions’ at every venue will receive all the automatic bids. A player who will accumulate the maximum number of points at each stop will be declared the Casino Champion.
The ninth and current season of Circuit event s is in its final stage. This season saw the maximum numbers of entrants as compared to its previous editions. With an average of $197,535 as the prize money received by the main event winner, a total of 80,000 players entered in this season. In the upcoming season, the number of venues has increase from this year’s 19 to 22. For the first time Ohio will host two and Canada has doubled the numbers of events in the tenth edition of WSOP Circuit Events.
