Aditya Agarwal kept the Indian flag flying at the 2013 WSOP in Las Vegas as he finished with a chip stack of 400,000 and stood in the final 239 as Day 4 of the Main Event ended. The action at the Rio All Suites Hotel and Casino reached its climax as the bubble burst and players starting getting payouts.
Aditya who hails from Kolkatta, West Bengal goes by the name ‘Intervention‘ in poker circles. This Indian Poker Pro has many poker glories to his name including many online wins at PokerStars. He is well known for his online poker victories as he prefers to play poker at PokerStars and Full Tilt Poker. Aditya is a known name on the Asian Poker circuit and recently finished 14th in the APPT Macau. With career winnings of $136,177, Agarwal has played at the WSOP five times previously. Last year he cashed twice in the 43rd World Series of Poker finishing 19th in Event 59 and 99th in Event 56. He won $20,499 for the former finish and $4,722 for the second finish.
Playing at the Amazon Room amongst poker pros, Agarwal took some bold steps and managed a chip stack of 400,000 as Day 4 of the Main Event ended. He along with Pulkit Kalia had entered Day 4 but Kalia exit just short of the bubble and failed to finish in the money. Agarwal is now guaranteed of atleast $42,990 even if he exits soon.
