EPT Barcelona deals off: Vitaly Lunkin wins Super High Rollers Event

EPTAs the European Poker Tour( EPT ) Barcelona kicked off last week, Sunday saw Vitaly Lunkin conquer a hard field to capture the €50,000 Super High Roller Event. Lunkin was richer by 771,300 and also won a Shamballa Bracelet for his win as the first big event of the Season 10 of EPT unfolded.

The 51 player starting field was trimmed to a final table of 8 including tough competitors in Ole Schimion, Erik Seidel and Steve O Dwyer. It was a final table which would award only the top seven and Timothy Adams became the unfortunate bubble boy. Seidel was the one who had the laurel of getting everyone in the money after his pocket queens showed the exit to Adams’s King Nine suited. Seidel eventually also went heads up with Lunkin and won €557,100 for his second place finish.

EPT Barcelona at the Casino Barcelona also saw the Main Event action starting with Day 1a attracting around 500 players. 8 Levels of play were conducted on Sunday and Dragon Kostic emerged chip leader with 215,000 chips. Other big stacks included Niclas Adoltsson on 147,000, Jacob Rasmussen with 128,300 and Albert Daher with 127,700 chips. Defending Champion Mikalai Pobal also remains in the lurch with around 70000 chips.
