Biography

Ryan ReissRyan Riess “The Beast” doesn’t need any formal introduction as this poker player is a great inspiration for all young poker enthusiasts. Born & brought up in US, Ryan did his graduation from Michigan State University with a business degree.

The 23 year old guy started playing poker at the age of 14 & used to play with his friends in the basement, during high school, betting small amounts of money. Soon he realized that he is quite good at playing cards & decided to take a shot in the massive WSOP Circuit Main Event at Hammond. That was the turning point of his life. He got second place, banking almost a quarter million dollars. 

 After that, his journey kicked off as he dove right into the poker world, qualifying for the National Championship in New Orleans. Later, he moved to Las Vegas to try out his luck at other live poker tournaments. He played many tournaments & finally in 2013 achieved one of the pinnacles of poker and became one of this year’sNovember Nine”.

The poker pro loves to play Texas Holdem & admires Phil Ivey andTom Dwan. Beside this, he also likes to travel. His favorite movie is “Rounders”.  Though, he made his way to the poker circuit at a very young age, but it’s the support of his family & friends that kept him focused.

These days, the poker pro is learning & discussing various poker strategies from his friends with an aim to become the second player from the Great Lakes State to win the WSOP main event in the past five years. Since he will be the youngest player at WSOP main event final table & will be representing Michigan; his goal is to qualify for the 2013 WSOP National Championship.
