Thom Creel wins WSOP Circuit Horseshoe Bossier City Main Event

WSOP CircuitLocal poker player Thom Creel overcame big names on the final table to win his first ever circuit ring and the title of WSOP Horseshoe Bossier City Circuit Main Event.Creel was chip leader as the nine handed final table became but was overshadowed by the likes of Rob Salaburu, Daniel Lowery and Cord Garcia.

Creel took it easy in the beginning, letting the big guns exchange some huge pots and saw Salabaru exit in eighth place. It was after five time WSOP Circuit Final tablist Lowery exit in sixth place that Creel emerged as a contender for the title. His third biggest competition in Garcia ended in third spot and heads up battle resumed between Creel and Sean Small.

Though Small’s stack was lesser than Creel’s but he did put up a good fight and the final hand saw the final winner go all-in on his pocket ten’s. Small had pocket deuces in this hand and decided to call only to lose the tournament. This win meant the biggest tournament ever for Creel who won $144,537 and a Circuit ring.

The Main Event of the WSOP Circuit Casino Lac-Leamy will also start today and OPN will update you on who wins the circuit ring there.
