The first flight of Day 1 of the Red Dragon Event of the Macau Poker Cup ‘s 20th Edition has begun today at the PokerStars LIVE City of Dreams Casino and it is expected to break all previous records. With a huge entry crowd of 285 poker players on Day 1a, entries continue to 3 flights of Day 1 with 1c expected to be the biggest. The current record for the biggest Red Dragon Main Event is 891 and this one is on course to cross that number.
With a minimum guarantee of HK $ 8 Million, the 20th Anniversary version of the MPC is much talked about in the poker fraternity. Apart from the lion’s share of the big prize money, the very impressive Red Dragon Trophy is also at stake. With 6 events already complete, all eyes are now on the Red beauty and the biggest names from Asia Pacific and other parts of the world are in attendance now.
A good contingent from India is also participating in the Red Dragon. With Kavish Kukreja and Shazman Shroff having final table finishes in Event 5 of the MPC20, the event has warmed up for our tricolor already. Shroff has also had a 5th place finish in the Event 6. Other Indians making the money included Sumit Sapra and Raj Talwar in Event 5 of HK$5K KO Bounty. Hiren Vasant Dharani made the final table in Event 3 of HK$2000 Deepstack PLO.
