3 out of 6 flights of Day 1 of the 2014 Macau Millions are now done and dusted and we have had 3 chip leaders and various players advancing to Day 2. Several bullets have been fired in this $2200 buy-in Main Event and a total of over 400 players have already entered the tournament. With a unique tourney format, the event allows a player to try multiple times to make it to Day 2, at the same time it also makes it very difficult for players in any flights of Day 1 to advance to Day 2. That is also the reason only around 30 players have made it so far from the 3 flights to Day 2. From each flight of day 1, less than 10% of the runners are making it to Day 2.

Here are the stats from the first 3 flights:

Day Entrants Survivors Chip Leader
Day 1a 134 10 Mikol Blolie
Day 1b 157 11 Tai Tan
Day 1c 139 10 Svyatoslav Dvornikov

The guarantee for this HKD $2,200 buy-in event is HKD $2 million. There are six Day 1s in this event and players are allowed to play as many as they want. The incentive for repeat survivors isn’t more chips — in fact, their smaller stacks get removed from play — it’s for HKD. The biggest initiative to survive a day apart from making it to Day 2 is to get an instant cash bonus of HKD $11,000.  The fast blinds level with a live-turbo format add up the excitement of fast eliminations and faster buller re-firings.

This interesting main event is now on a break of two days and will resume with the 4th flight of Day 1 on Wednesday. Other events of the 2014 Macau Millions will continue in the meanwhile but the main event with its interesting and tough format and fast paced action make it the one to watch out.
