Global Poker Index: Duhamel, Serock make it to Top 10

gpiJonathan Duhamel, at No. 8 and Joseph Serock, at #10, move in to top 10 this week in the Global Poker Index. Although all three lost points this week, Daniel Negreanu remains at the top place, followed by Vanessa Selbst at #2 and Ole Schemion at #3. It will now be interesting to note what happens next week.

Each week, the Global Poker Index (GPI) releases a list of the top 300 tournament poker players in the world using a formula that takes a player’s results over six half-year periods. The GPI also ranks the top performers of the year over two six-month periods. The GPI rankings released every Thursday rank the top 300 players as well maintain a Player of the Year Leader board also.

Shannon Shorr also moved 3 spots up this week, now ranking at #7. However Ravi Raghavan and Sorel Mizzi both dropped out this week, ranking now at #13 and #19 respectively. Moving 40 spots this week is Kitty Kuo at #220. She owes it to her 34th place finish at IPT Sanremo which was also her first cash on the live tournament circuit this season.  3rd place finisher from the same event Jae Sim also moved 42 spots and now ranks at #183. Another climber this week is reining GPI European Poker Awards Rookie of the Year AdrianMateoz Diazwho moved 35 sp0ts at #62.

Dropping down 100 spots this week is Benjamin Spindler at #254. Also moving down is WSOP Bracelet winner Mark Radoja by 84 spots and WPT Champions Club member Benjamin Hamnett by 59 spots. Radoja is now ranked at #141 and Hemnett at #247.
