EPT Grand Final Day 4: Hicks Leads Final 17

kennyhicksKenny Hicks in in command as day 4 of the 2014 European Poker Tour(EPT) Grand Final ended after five levels of 90 minutes of play with 17 runners standing at the Monte Carlo Casino. Hicks was also responsible for bursting the money bubble on Day 3 and rose dramatically on day 4 accumulating a healthy stack of 2,499,000 chips. Martins Seilis and Jack Salter are the two closest contenders with 1,767,000 and 1,750,000 chips respectively. 

Day 4 started off with 41 players returning to the felt and 24 of these fell during the day. Notable poker players who exit during the day include  Grzegorz Wyraz (35th – €28,300), Noah Boeken (33rd – €28,300), Yulius Sepman (30th – €32,200), Emil Patel(28th – €32,200), Ville Wahlbeck (26th – €36,700), Christoph “Tight-Man1” Vogelsang (25th – €36,700), and David Williams (24th – €36,700).

But the 17 still in the lurch for the big title as well as the top prize of €1,240,000 are Martins Seilis (1,767,000), Antonio Buonanno (1,623,000), Mayu Roca (1,500,000), Malte Moennig(1,450,000), and Vasili Firsau (1,002,000). Also joining them is the last former EPT champ remaining in the field, Mark Teltscher (802,000); EPT10 Prague High Roller winner Ivan Soshnikov (731,000), Miroslav Alilovic; and  Steven Silverman (436,000).

When day 5 starts the final 17 will take to the table and play down to a final table of eight poker players. As of now, this is how the Top 10 poker players of the EPT Grand Final stack up:
