2014 WSOP Event #2: Vanessa Selbst wins historic third WSOP Bracelet

2014wsopvanessaVanessa Selbst came out on top defeating Jason Mo after overcoming a huge seven to one chip deficit in Event 2, $25,000 Mixed-Max NLHE of the 2014 World Series of Poker(WSOP). This marks the supremacy of Selbst amongst the male dominated regime of poker as she claims her third WSOP gold bracelet.

Event 2 had started on Tuesday with 131 runners playing nine handed poker and 60 stood ground after Day 1. On Day 2, all tables were supposed to be six handed and it was played down till the money bubble at 16 players. It was some unfortunate moments was Phil Ivey and John Juanda who went down in 18th and 17th positions.

Day 3 began with Al Decarolis in command of the 16 remaining players and Mo and Selbst took play down to the wire.  Decarolis retained his lead till he exit in 3rd place to leave the heads up battle to enter Day 4. Selbst now has 3 bracelets which matches the best ever tally by Barbara Enright who also has 3 WSOP Bracelets

Event 3 of the $1K PLO also bought some joy to the Selbst camp as close friend Brandon Shack Harris defeated Morgan Popham to win top prize of $205,634 and his first ever WSOP Bracelet. Shack Harris overcame a record field of 1128 players to take this down this event.
