Dress up the Poker Way this Halloween!

Are you going to a Halloween party this Friday? Spice up your persona with some sizzling suits or go funky with Punk Bones costumes! How about dressing up the poker way? Many poker players have made public appearances in incredible Halloween costumes over the years. From Phil Hellmuth’s baby costume to the joker look by Bertrand Grospellier, we have put together some of the best getups worn by poker players on Halloweens. Take a look; you would love trying any of these or may draw up another wacky one for you.

Phil Laak dressed up as an old man

Phil Laak as an Old Man

This old man look tops the chart of craziest Halloween getups as it impel the tournament officials to enforce a rule popularly known as “Phil Laak rule” which advises not to wear a mask at the poker table. The American poker pro devoted six hours to get the perfect make of an old man with the pony beard inspired by Johnny Knoxville’s “Bad Grandpa” getup from Jackass.

Joe Sebok as Spider-Man, a Kangaroo, Robin, and Wonder Woman

You will definitely find one for yourself from this American player’s costumes. Sebok lost a prop bet to a close friend which he didn’t reveal and eventually had to dress-up in a different way on the initial four days of 2006 WSOP Main Event.

Phil Hellmuth as a Baby

The “Poker brat” came wearing a cute cap with a nipple milk bottle to a poker event. Do you notice the innocent expression on his face; as if he is little worried without his mommy. It would be easiest to dress up like a baby this Halloween.

Elky as the Joker

Bertrand Grospellier as The Joker

Did you get frightened with this look of “ElkY”? He sported the “Crown Prince of Crime” getup on Day 1b of Asia Pacific Poker Tour (APPT) Macau in 2008. Coloured hairs, painted face and an eerie smile – that’s all you need to steal the party as a joker.

Brent Cahail as Merlin

Joe Sebok is not the only one to put on bizarre costumes after losing a prop bet. Cahail lost the 2008 WSOP $2,000 NLHE event to his own roommate Blair Hinkle and was forced to wear this ludicrous costume on the Day 1 of the Main Event. Unfortunately, Cahail got eliminated on the Day 1 itself. Beware trying it if you believe in flukes happening due to costumes you waer on poker table.

What could be more interesting than contesting your rival on poker table in the same getup he carries? That’s what Negreanu did against the “Prince of Poker” Scotty Nguyen on Day 2 of the 2009 NBC Heads Up Championship. Try surprising a friend or rival of yours by getting his looks this Halloween.
