2015 WSOP Europe: Arsh Grover Makes Day 2 in the Main Event

Be it, the WSOP in Las Vegas or Asian tournaments in Manila and Macau, Indian players have proved their excellence time and gain bagging notable cash prizes. Continuing the efforts on the European soil is India’s Arsh Grover, one of the youngest poker talents of India. The Main Event of WSOPE Berlin got underway at Spielbank Berlin Casino on Sunday drawing 109 entries with a buy-in of €10,450. 57 players survived at the end of Day 1A game topped by Ricardo Adam ALVARADO with 64,450 chips. Team PokerHigh pro Arsh Grover finished the day with 35,825 chips to contniue his Main Event run on Day 2 starting on Tuesday.

The defending Champion Adrian Mateos was the first to get eliminated on Day 1A against Sven Reichert. John Juanda, Erik Seidel, Fedor Holz and the 2010 WSOP Main Event Champion Jonathan Duhamel were among the notable joining the action on Day 1A of WSOPE Europe Main Event. The action will continue today in the second flight Day 1B after which it will take 4 more days to crown the champion.

Arsh Grover, out on his first foreign poker tour had started off with a cash finish in the Oktoberfest Event bagging €6,455 in 24th place. Arsh went through a few swings on Day 1A of Main Event ending the day with 35,825 chips. At a time, he had a stack of 71,000 before going to dinner break.
