2015 WSOP Europe: Arsh Grover Reaches Day 3 of Main Event; 65 Players Left

arsh-wsopeAfter the successful play in Day 2 of the WSOPE Main Event in Berlin, the chip leader Dzmitry Urbanovich is looking forward for his next big score. The Polish Player now stands as a tough contender for almost every Player of the Year Award in 2015. The only Indian player in the contest of WSOPE Main Event bracelet, Arsh Grover made it successfully to the Day 3 with 83,100 chips.

The second day of the €10,450 WSOP Europe Main Event saw 184 players returning and it was after six 90-minute levels that the entire field was cropped down to 65 players. Followed by JC Alvarado (356,300) and Johannes Becker (309,700), Urbanovich dominated the Day 2 and eliminated Georgios Karakousis in the end to bag 374,800 chips. Niall Farrell (300,900) ended up fourth in chips, though he started the day as chip lead.

To summon up, a total of 313 players lined up to play the first ever WSOPE ME to take place at the Spielbank Berlin Germany, building a total prize pool of €3,067,400. The top 32 finishers will receive the minimum prize money of €20,000, and the aspiring winner will walk away with top prize of €883,000 and the diamond-studded gold bracelet on the day of Main Event – October 24.

Other notable players who will be returning on Day 3 include Erik Seidel (238,600), Ardit Kurshumi (225,000), Salman Behbehani (184,000), Konstantin Puchkov (182,100), Dominik Nitsche (166,100), Davidi Kitai (165,700), Jeff Rossiter (147,700), Benjamin Pollak (143,800), Jason Mercier (140,900), Nikolaus Teichert (128,300), Jeff Gross (101,100), Shannon Shorr (97,600), Will Failla (93,800), Team PokerHigh pro Arsh Grover (83,100), and Liv Boeree (67,000).

If Arsh makes it to the money on Day 3, it will be his 2nd cash in the series after the Oktoberfest event where he bagged €6,455 in 24th place. And, if he win the top prize, it will be proudest moment for the entire poker community of India.
