GPI Rankings: Schemion the only player with over 4,000 points on the 300

Ole Schemion (GPI#1, =) continues his regime for a sixth straight week at the top of GPI300. Recently, this German superstar final tabled the 100K Challenge at the Aussie Millions. And now he is the only player with over 4,000 points on the 300, and these points may rise with the conclusion of Aussie Millions next week.

This week Pratyush Buddiga (GPI#2, +1) and Bryn Kenney (GPI#3, -1) swapped their spots. After a fruitful trip to the Bahamas, Buddiga finished 3rd in the 25K Challenge at the Aussie Millions. Stephen Chidwick (GPI#7, +7) entered the Top 10 for the first time in 2015. In 2014, he had spend significant time in Top 10. Recently, Chidwick finished one spot behind Buddiga in the Aussie Millions 25K.

With the return of Chidwick in Top 10, 2014 Aussie Millions Main Event runner-up Sorel Mizzi (GPI#11, -1) slipped away of the Top 10 for the first time in three weeks. Mizzi’s rank was affected by his elimination from 2015 Aussie Main Event during Day 1 play.

On every Thursday, GPI (Global Poker Index) releases a list of top 300 Poker tournament players. To dwell this list of top Poker performers of the World, GPI maintains a Poker Index point system and uses special formula. Through this leader-board, GPI as well announces Player of the Year.

Steve O’Dwyer (GPI#33, +39) is continuing his journey towarsd the top. The player who was not a part of Top 100 in starting of 2015 is at 33rd spot in the ranks, O’Dwyer’s best ranking since April 2014.

French pro Paul Tedeschi (GPI#181, +83) made the biggest jump inside the GPI300 after a first cash in four months. The 2012 WSOP Europe Main Event final table participant recently finished 3rd in a prelim event at WPT National Cyprus.

David Paredes’ (GPI#240, -47) fall down 47 spots as his runner-up finish at the WPT Borgata Winter Poker Open entered a third scoring period. A pair of Global Poker Masters competitors, Italy’s Giuliano Bendinelli (GPI#164, -24) and the Ukraine’s Eugene Katchalov (GPI#79, -22), had a dip-dropped this week.
