With events like Sunday Million on PokerStars and Poker Millionaire Tour on Adda52, the online action soared this weekend.
Abhishek ‘abhi147’ Rathod who is now just $7,192 short of reaching $100K milestone in online tournament winnings captured the spotlight of online tourneys this weekend. On Friday, he finished 3rd in the $22 NL Hold’em [6-Max, Progressive Super-Knockout], $20K Gtd on PokerStars bagging $1,207.45. This remained the only notable score for Indian players on the virtual felt on Friday.
Saturday saw the biggest PMT event on Adda52 which brings 5 Lacs up for grab. maksam143 triumphed this tourney winning Rs 150,000 in the top prize. iskywalker placed 2nd for Rs 95,000 and lucky_bastered bagged Rs 66,250 in the 3rd place of this online tournament. The Saturday party didn’t stop here as shakuni8492 won the low buy-in tourney, $5.40 NL Hold’em [Turbo, Knockout], $10K Gtd on PokerStars. Winning his first online tourney on PokerStars, he added $1,430.47 to his online winnings.
Sunday was the day for Karan Radia who now sits atop the India rankings on PocketFives. Karan triumphed the field of 2,088 players in the $3.30+R NL Hold’em, $12K Gtd on PokerStars bagging the top prize of $2,913.84. He played the $215 Sunday Million and was having a fantastic run but, unfortunately ended up in the 24th place for $2,645.51.
Abhishek ‘abhi147’ Rathod took the poker action to Winamax where he finished 4th in the AFTER WORK tourney bagging $1,939.65. kanishka27 was the latest to join the notable money finishes of Weekend Indian Poker Pot by notching 7th place in The Bigger $27.50, $35K Gtd. He added $1,088.22 to his online winnings in this tourney.
