APT Asian Poker Series Manila 2015: 4 Indians Enter Main Event Day 2; Dhaval Finishes 2nd in OFC event

The poker action continued at the Resort World Manila in the APT Asian Poker Series with 107 runners joining the PHP 50,000 Main Event on Day 1A on Friday, 2nd October. 52 players could survive at the end of day’s play for the Day 2 battle topped by Noel Araniel of Philippines. Team India is off to a brilliant start in the Main Event with 4 Indian players qualifying for the Day 2 action. Amit Ajwani leads the Indian action in the Main Event with 63,000 chips joined by Paawan Bansal (48,600), Adda52 Team Spades pro Kunal Patni (38,100) and Srinivas Polishetty (10,250) for the Day 2 game. Amit Ajwani is 9th in the overall chip counts at the end of Day 1A in the Main Event.

In the Side events, Team Thrill pro Dhaval Mudgal chopped to finish runner-up in the OFC Pineapple Shootout 36 Max event. Azusa Maeda of Japan won event bagging PHP 118,700 in the top prize.

The Head Hunter event played on Thursday crowned John Tech of Philippines the champion as he defeated You Hui heads up. Kunal Patni made his 2nd ITM finish of the APT Asian Series Manila 2015 in this event finishing 14th.

Ferlyn Cabaling won the Ladies of Poker event for the 5th time in APT history outplaying a field of 38 poker divas to grab the title and PHP 73,700 in prize.
