Adda52, India’s largest poker site tied-up with Rockets Poker Room in Bangalore last year to launch its live tournament brand Adda52 LIVE. As both the businesses completes one year of successful partnership, a renewal of tie-up was highly anticipated in the poker space of Bangalore. However, the official announcement came today that Adda52 is not continuing with Rockets Poker Room after the completion of one year.
“The association was for a year and we enjoyed the experience. We would like the new management of rockets poker room to settle down and then explore any synergies later”, said Mr. Anuj Gupta, Founder & CEO of Adda52.com.
Adda52 LIVE revived the tournament scene in Bangalore with regular tournaments every month. Maximum guarantees at minimal buy-ins for the tournament lovers drew big fields of over 100 players in the Adda52 LIVE tournament at Rockets Poker Room. Excellent hospitality services of the poker room combined with well structure tournaments made Adda52 LIVE at Rockets Poker Room the most exciting tournament destination of the city.
Recently, the Rockets poker room management saw changes in terms of Mr. Praveen Dwarkanath’s exit. Mr. Sathosh Suvarna, the other partner has taken over the ownership and top management of the room. Adda52 decided to put the contract renewal on hold till the time the new management syncs up with the operations here.
When asked about new tie-ups for live tournaments, Mr. Anuj Gupta said, “We are exploring what is the right way to provide the best live experience to poker players in Bangalore and other cities.”
