Following the super successful DPT February edition this year, India’s largest poker site-Adda52.com introduced Deltin Online Poker Tournament (DOPT),which took place from 23rd-27th March 2017 with a massive INR 1 Crore in guaranteed prize pool. A highly exciting tournament series on Adda52.com, it played featured exciting 34 events and drew more than 1000 participants across 5 days of the grueling action. Here is a look at the winners of 5 major DOPT tourneys hosted in March:
DOPT 5 Lac Blaze 23rd March (Day1)
The DOPT series kicked off on 23rd March with the biggest event of opening day – DOPT 5 Lac Blaze wherein a total of 128 entrants took to the virtual felts but the man who eventually emerged the winner was Siddarth Singhvi (badtameez_donk). He defeated jaikiran kumar (jeditriv) in the heads-up game to win INR 192375 in the top prize. jeditriv got INR 121500 for his 2nd place finish in the tourney.
DOPT 20 Lac High Roller 24th March (Day2)
The main attraction on Day 2 of the DOPT March edition was 20 Lac High Roller, a charity poker tourney with INR 20 Lac in the total GTD, which took place on 24th March and attracted a total of 120 entries, creating a huge INR 2640000 in the prize pool, which was distributed among top 12 finishers. After more than 8 hours of the gruelling action, it was Raghav Aggarwal (BaLuGaWhAlE) who took down the title in this event for a huge INR 792000, after defeating Ankur Sehgal (‘Aceleration’) in heads-up game. Ankur took home an impressive INR 501600 for his runner-up finish. As this tourney was Adda52’s initiative to support the cause of animal welfare, the company matched its total prize pool and donated it to World For All Animal Care & Adoptions, a Mumbai-based animal welfare NGO.
DOPT 10 Lac Mini Millions 25th March (Day 3)
Later, the day 3 of the DOPT series brought up a yet another exciting event- DOPT 10 Lac Mini Millions on 25th March. This event with a total of INR 10 Lac in the guaranteed prize pool attracted 230 entrants,taking the total prize pool to a huge INR 1150000, which was later distributed among the top 12 finishers in the tourney. In this tournament on Adda52.com, several big names in India’s online poker circuit took to the virtual felts to battle it out for a hefty prize pool of INR 10 Lac and finally it was Abhishek Kumar (degen88) who came out to the top after beating a 230-entry field and Samay Modi (Sammybulldog) in the heads-up game. Abhishek won the top prize of INR 3,45,000 for his first place finish, while Sammybulldog earned INR 218500 for making a 2nd place finish in the tourney.
DOPT 40 Lac Millions – Main Event 26th March (Day 4)
The biggest event of the DOPT series came on Day 4 on 26th March with DOPT Millions- Main Event, which featured a whopping INR 40 Lac in total GTD. The Main Event was tremendously successful, attracting 287 entries and taking the total prize pool to a massive INR 4018000. In this tourney, a total of the top 27 players were paid out with min-cash of INR 24108. The tournament saw several big online and live players joining in the field, but the man who emerged the champion was Ankur Dewani (aces). Ankur defeated Saravanan S (SIDDHU24) in the heads-up game to take home the first place prize INR 1044680. SIDDHU24 earned an impressive INR 662970 for finishing 2nd in the event.
DOPT 5 Lac PLO Showdown 27th March (Day 5)
Finally, the DOPT series concluded on Day 5, 27th March 2017 with DOPT 5 Lac PLO Showdown, which had a total of INR 5 lac in guaranteed prize pool. The event attracted a large number of big names in India’s online poker circuit and ultimately a found a champion in Sasisekaran CL (mpcc ) who defeated Aakash Kedia (doodlebug) in heads-up to take down the title and the first place prize money of INR 238400. Sasisekaran won INR 145275 for making a 2nd place finish in this concluding tournament.
Next DOPT Edition Kicks Off on 25th May
The much anticipated DOPT series is once again back on Adda52.com and is scheduled for 25th to 29th May.
