The 2018 Asian Poker Tour (APT) Korea Incheon Championships hosted from 8th to19th August at the Paradise City Casino in South Korea wrapped up successfully. The 22-event series drew poker players from all across the globe and totaled 1,625 entries. The total prize pool generated was around ₩980,000,000 ($873,851), making it one of the most successful series hosted by APT.
The majority of the events were won by Japanese players. While there were several winners, the key title went to Japan’s Inotsume Kazuma who won the coveted APT Player of the Series award. While Kazuma did not win any titles but went on to notch up scores in 6 events, which include:
- Welcome Event (5th for ₩1,064,000)
- CoinPoker High Rollers (2nd for ₩21,486,000)
- Main Event (32nd for ₩1,523,000)
- Super Deep Stack Turbo (4th for ₩2,450,000)
- Deep Stack Hyper Turbo (9th for ₩246,000)
- Championships Event (21st for ₩2,654,000)
Kazuma showed a great character and collected 953.28 points to win the APT player of the series taking home the 1st place APT POS trophy, a Meister watch, and a prize money of $800.
Meanwhile, Edward Yam Chun Ho (817.90 points) and Lam Cheuk Nam (812.49 points) ended up finishing in the second and third places on the APT Player of the Series rankings respectively.
Dai Luiheng Wins APL Xi‘an High Roller For CNY 275,000
The Asia Poker League (APL) Xi‘an running from 14th to 22nd August has been the latest event for Asian poker players this week at Xi‘an Baoyulin Poker Club in China. One of the key highlights was its High Roller. The event drew 63 players, each paid CNY15,000 (≈ USD2,180) to enter it. The prize pool went to CNY916,650 (≈ USD133,263). Jin Tian was one of the key players to watch out, and she did not disappoint finishing 4th in the event. Despite Tian’s good efforts, it was Dai Luiheng who won the title for the CNY 275,000 (≈ USD39,979). Chen Ping took 2nd place for CNY 175,000.
