Taking place this past Thursday was Godfather 5.0, which wrapped up successfully. The event drew a strong field with 417 entries in total. Outlasting the field this time was ‘fourteenk’ from New Delhi. To notch up his biggest online score, the youngster, who has cashed in several tournaments on, had to battle it with a tough field that included several pros and the past winners.

‘fourteenk’ beat a tough final table in this tournament. He faced some well-known poker players such as Pranay Chawla aka ‘setmeup’, Pranav Bang aka ‘pranavbang’, Pranav Khandalkar aka ‘pkpok, Adda52 Team Pro – Tarun Goyal aka ‘aggtarun’, and Chirag Sodha who plays under ‘cs56’.

In heads-up, the player battled it with baba_29 who fought well and even took the chip lead but could not go all the way. It was actually ‘fourteenk’ who started the heads-up play with the chip lead but he lost it in between. A few hands later, he then bounced back and eventually won the event.

On the last hand of the tournament, ‘fourteenkshoved with Kh Js and ‘baba_29’ called with As 7d for 13BB. The board ran out 9d Qd Jh 9h 7h where ‘fourteenk’ made two pairs to win the event.

While the Godfather 5.0 win was the biggest score for ‘fourteenk’, it was not his first notable score as the player has already cashed out in several popular tournaments on He has already final-tabled in The Whale – 6 Max and Judwaa tourneys, while finishing in the money (ITM) in Godfather, Sunday Suits and several other crucial online poker tournaments.

Interestingly, fourteenkhad qualified through an INR 550 buy-in online satellite to Godather 5.0 where he emerged as the winner even after becoming the shortest stack at the final table. “I was crippled to shortest from Chip Lead on final table when ‘pkpok’ called turn all in with A5o on a 2594ssdd board in a 3bet pot. I had 78ss. From there, I got a few double ups and then it was an easy win”

The player was very happy about his win. “Feels good. It was my biggest win on Field was standard. I didn’t get to see many good regs on my table. Overall, it was good experience”, he said.
