WSOPE 2018: Manish Goenka Nourishes His Short Stack To Make €550 PLO Final Table

Just two days back, we reported about India’s Manish Goenka making it to Day 2 of the €550 Pot-Limit Omaha 8-Handed of the ongoing World Series of Poker Europe (WSOPE) in Rozvadov, Czech Republic where hundreds of players from various countries are competing for the WSOPE titles.

From the 2 starting flights – Day 1A and Day 1B of €550 PLO event, Goenka was among the final 46 to move into Day 2. A total of 21 players qualified from Day 1A and Goenka was 20/21 to qualify.

Even after being one of the smallest stacks among the survivors into Day 2, Goenka didn’t lose hope. He worked hard and did just right things on Day 2, picking only good spots and chipping up to eventually move into the 8-handed FT where he is currently sitting on 6/8 with a stack of 970,000.

Day 2 of the tournament turned out to be a great day for Goenka and he managed to turn his short stack into a respectable stack. All players on FT will be returning on Day 3 to battle it out for the coveted title and the top prize of €59,625 (INR 50.48 Lac). While the payout for 8th place is €5,198, Goenka who has got back into the game after a topsy-turvy run will now be aiming for the top prize.
