Yesterday saw Adda52 hosting its Godfather 7.0. The popular INR 5,500 buy-in tournament takes place every Thursday and features a hefty INR 20 Lac GTD prizepool + a ticket to coveted Vegas SnG where the eventual winner will receive a Vegas Package worth 9 Lac to play in Las Vegas.
Given its hefty prizepool and 9 Lac Vegas Package up for grabs, the tournament is highly beneficial especially for budding Indian players who are looking to make a mark in the poker industry.
Yesterday’s Godfather 7.0 was a grand success. The tournament attracted a huge field of 522 entries, generating a massive INR 26 + Lac in prizepool. The eventual winner to emerge in the tournament was Banmanlang WarrLyndem aka ‘bml2012’, who beat a strong field and a tough FT to claim INR 6,26,400 and a ticket to the 9 Lac Package Vegas SnG to be played on adda52.com, 3rd March 2019.
In heads-up, ‘bml2012’ beat ‘lucky__fish’. The latter put up a tough fight but had to settle for INR 3,65,400 as 2nd place cash prize. The final hand saw ‘bml2012’ with 4d 4s and ‘lucky__fish’ with Ac 6c. The board ran out 8s Jh 8d 10c 7s where ‘bml2012’ made two pairs to win the tournament.
The final table had some tough pros, including Ashish Munot aka ‘ragspoker’ (5th for INR 1,30,500) and Jasven Saigal aka ‘bajateraho’ (7th for INR 6,52,50). Siddarth Singhvi aka ‘badtameez_donk’ finished 9th taking home INR 39,150 for his efforts. The ‘rising star’ of Indian poker Sriharsha Doddapaneni aka ‘Ivey2’ ended his run in 10th place, pocketing INR 32,625 for his deep run.
A total of 55 places were paid out in this event with a min-cash of INR 11,745. Some other notables to cash were Kartik Ved aka ‘Pegasus1505’ (17th for INR 22,185), Mukesh Surana aka ‘mukesh2704’ (18th for INR 22,185), Romit Advani aka ‘ft83’ (24th for INR 19,575), Sajal Gupta aka ‘sa_jal’ (26th for INR 16,965), Shravan Chhabria aka ‘sweatmyass13’ (34th for INR 16,965), Sumit Sapra aka ‘Hammer_Head’ (35th for INR 14,355) and Deepak Bothra aka ‘bothras’ (47th for INR 11,745).
This win for ‘bml2012’ was his biggest score on Adda52 and he must be very happy about it. It was not his first win as he has already won several online satellites and cashed several tournaments, including Rich Race, Adda52 Millions, Godfather and Beast. Godfather seems to be his favourite as he has cashed several editions of it. We congratulate and wish him many more success ahead!
