This Sunday saw Adda52 host its popular online poker tournament – 20 Lac GTD Adda52 Millions. The INR 11K buy-in event drew a strong field of 182 entries. After several hours of intense battles, it was Adda52 Team Pro Kunal Patni who topped the field to win his third Adda52 Millions and bag the first-place prizemoney of an impressive INR 3,77,142 after a 4-way deal with Ayush Munot aka ‘ayush706’ (runner-up for INR 3,70,029), ‘sara1501’ (3rd place for INR 3,39,713) and Sikander Rajwade aka ‘soundfsilenz’ who finished 4th taking home INR 2,43,116 as per the 4-way deal.
Top 19 players were paid out in this event with a min-cash of INR 20K. Some notable regs to cash were Irshad Chaudhary aka ‘poker27’ (6th for INR 90k), Sajal Gupta aka ‘sa_jal’ (9th for INR 45K), Shravan Chhabria aka ‘sweatmyass13’ (10th for INR 37k), Pranav Khandalkar aka ‘pkpok’ (11th for INR 37K), ‘phanthom’ (12th for iNR 34k) and Deepak Bothra aka ‘bothras’ (15th for INR 29K).
It was Patni’s third Adda52 Millions win. His last victory in this particular tournament had come in January 2018. Post his latest Millions win, we got in touch with Patni and he said, “It was my 3rd Adda52 Millions win and it feels great to ship it a third time. I think, only Sushi and Shravan have done this thrice or more. So, it’s great to be in esteemed company. My last Adda52 Millions win was back in January 2018. So, it has taken a long time and I had been itching to win it. This was one of the those very few tournaments where I became the chip leader very early and maintained it right throughout. It doesn’t normally happen. The final table went on for a very long time. With 5 people left, I was 3/5 and all of them wanted a deal and I kept rejecting it. Finally, when 1 more busted, I was too tired and agreed to the deal.”
A Little About Patni’s Journey
For Patni, poker is life. He has been playing poker since a long time. His achievements on both live and virtual felts have been remarkable. He is now ranked 7th in ‘India All Time Money List’ with a staggering $426,434 in live earnings. He got his best live cash when he finished runner-up in the 2018 WPT DeepStacks Berlin Main Event for a whopping $ 115,819. Apart from earning several notable live scores, Patni has won a few big titles, including the 2014 APPT HK$ 2,500 NLH Rebuy Championship and the 2016 DPT PLO titles. Some of his notable live scores in 2019 include a runner-up finish in the 2019 APT Vietnam Deep Stack Turbo and a 13th -place finish in the 2019 APT Vietnam Deep Stack Hyper Turbo. He had also finished 16th in the 2019 APT Vietnam Championships event.
Patni has been playing on Adda52 for several years and his journey has been rewarding so far. He has won several online tournaments, including Kings 6.5 Lac, DPT 5K Warm-Up, DPT 7K Warm-Up, Adda52 Millions (2017), Adda52 Millions (2018) and his third Adda52 Millions just this past Sunday.
Apart from winning various sattys and tournaments on Adda52, the Mumbai-based pro has recently final-tabled several key events, including Adda52 Millions, Mega Suits, Judwaa, Godfather, Go Goa, Gayle Storm, Maverick etc. Overall, his poker achievements are very impressive, both live and online.
