This past Sunday saw India’s No. 1 Poker Site – Adda52 hosting its flagship tournament – 25 Lac GTD Mega Suits. The INR 5,500 event attracted a strong field of 487 entries. After several hours of tough battles, it was New Delhi’s Devrat Singh aka ‘Vickypune’ who won the tournament for INR 6,12,500.
To claim his victory, Singh outlasted a star-studded final table that had the likes of January 2016 DPT Main Event champion – Raghav Bansal (2nd for INR 3,62,500), latest Godfather 9.0 winner – Sahil Agarwal (3rd for INR 2,50,000), WPT India 2017 20K Kickoff champion – Kanishka Samant (6th for INR 87,500) and Ashish Ahuja (8th for INR 56,250). Rubin Labroo exited in 10th place for INR 31,250.
Top 49 were paid out with a min-cash of INR 13,750. Some notables to finish in the money included the likes of Akshay Nasa (11th), 2018 WSOP Main Event best Indian finisher – Nishant Sharma (13th), Sumit Sapra (16th), Ashish Munot (17th), WSOP bracelet winner – Aditya Sushant (19th), Rajat Sharma (25th), Adda52 Team Pro – Nikita Luther (35th) and Siddarth Singhvi (37th).
Devrat Singh has been playing on Adda52 for several years now and his journey has been highly rewarding. He has plenty of wins and cashes in his name. He has won Beast three times and Go Goa two times. Recently, he had shipped his second Blaze and just last night he went on to ship Mega Suits to claim his best score of INR 6,12,500 on Adda52. Some of his other notable scores include his multiple FT finishes across Blaze, Judwaa, Beast, Whale 6-Max and some other popular tourneys.
Talking about his win, Singh said, “I am pretty happy with my performance as the field was tough with some of the best tournament players of the country fighting it out for the first position. During the game, I followed the aggressive strategy throughout, mixing up my game and took some chances on the final table and did get lucky in a preflop all-in, but that’s part of the game. While it feels good winning just any tournament, this one was so special because it’s my highest payday till date. ”
