WSOP 2019: Hamid Feiz Leads Final 26 Into Day 3 Of $800 NLH Deepstack; 3 Indians Score On Day 2

The Event #37: $800 No-Limit Hold’em Deepstack of the 2019 WSOP (World Series of Poker) drew a massive field with a total of 2,808 entries and generated a whopping $1,999,296 prizepool, which is set to be paid out to the top 422 finishers in the tournament, with min-cashes starting from $1,185.

From Team India, 6 players – Nishant Sharma (292,00), Adda52 Team Pro Kunal Patni (241,500), Gokul Parvathaneni (102,500) and Paawan Bansal (93,000), Tarun Goyal (140,500) and Rajat Jain (77,000) made it to Day 2, along with 665 other survivors. Out of these, only three managed to cash and the rest three exited the event empty-handed. Among those cashing out, Patni was the last man standing from Team India as he finished 165th for $1,778. It was the second cash for Patni, who had opened his scorecard at this year’s series with a 3,645th place finish in the BIG 50 for $797.

The other two Indians to cash out in the event were Gokul Parvathaneni ( 304th for $1,422 and the 2018 WSOP Main Event best Indian finisher Nishant Sharma (349th for $1,292). Adda52 Team Pro Tarun Goyal, Paawan Bansal, and Rajat Jain exited the tournament empty-handed.

From the total of 2,808 entries, 671 players had taken their seats on Day 2. At the end of Day 2 play, the field came down to just 26 players with Hamid Feiz leading them with a massive 12,000,000 in chips. All the remaining players will be returning on Day 3 to play down to a winner. Each of them is guaranteed at least $9,789 though, they will be eyeing the bracelet and the top prize of $297,537.
