Pankaj Bhardwaj Wins DPT 15K Bounty Event for INR  2,05,000

And it is over! Pankaj Bhardwaj wins the title for INR 2,05,000 after besting a field of 167 entries. He played some solid aggressive poker and his aggression eventually got paid off.

At the final table, Bhardwaj played a role of an eliminator. He scored his first elimination by busting Achal R. Sonale (8th place) and then went on to bust Abhinandan Sarda (7th place), Amit Kumar (6th place), Jasdeep Nagpal (4th place), Jayjit Ray (3rd place) and finally his HU opponent Samsher Gandhi who tried hard but could not take the control, eventually settling for INR 1,30,000 prizemoney

On the last hand, Pankaj raised to 220k and Samsher holding As 8h shoved all-in for 500k, which Pankaj called with 9h 9d. The board opened Jh Qd 6s 8c 6d where Pankaj’s pocket nines held up to win him his fist DPT title. We congratulate both Pankaj and Samsher and wish them good luck for other DPT events.

Good evening and welcome to the DPT 15K NLH Bounty Event here at the Champions Den – Deltin Royale, Goa. It is a 1 re-entry event that starts at 4pm in a while from now. Players will start with 15k stack (150BB). Each level will be of 20 minutes with the late registration remaining open till the start of level 7.

In February this year, it was Sajjan Barnwal who won this event for INR 2.30 Lac, besting a field of 120 entries and he will be playing it again to defend his bounty title. We are expecting a bigger field size today after an impressive turnout of 294 yesterday in the opening event – DPT Deep Dive NLHE.
