Yesterday being a Thursday, we saw the high-value tournament – Godfather X taking place on Adda52. Featuring a buy-in of INR 5,500, the Godfather X guarantees a prizepool of INR 20 Lac along with a chance to win a 9 Lac Europe Poker Package. Last night, the biggest share of this prizepool went to Archit Saraogi aka ‘archit521’ who outlasted 346 entries to win the title for INR 5 Lac.
A total of 38 places were paid out with min cash being INR 12k. Eventually, the field was trimmed down to two players, Archit Saraog and Alok Ranjan aka ‘darkmatter’ who put up a good fight but could not go all the way, eventually finishing runner-up in the tournament for INR 3,03,000.
As expected, the tournament saw many notable pros, regs and past winners and some of them to finish in the money were ‘cheetah929’ (6th for INR 75,000), Sagar Choudhury (8th for INR 50,000), Kunal Sharma (16th for INR 19,000), Rishabh Luthra (29th for INR 14,000), Ankur Sehgal (30th for INR 14,000), Rubin Labroo (34th for INR 12K) and Akshay Nasa who finished 35th for INR 12K.
Saraogi is quite a known entity in the online poker circuit and has won several major tournaments on various leading poker sites in India. He has plenty of cashes on adda52.com to his name. A few months back, he had won Adda52’s Whale 6-Max and last night he added one more win to his online poker resume by shipping Godfather X for INR 5 Lac, which is by far his best score on the poker site.
Post his win, Saraogi said, “It feels great! I have been trying to ship Godfather for a long time now and came close to shipping a few times but never did. So, it feels great by finally shipping it last night.”
Talking about the final table and his experience in the tournament, he said, “Overall experience was good, and there were a couple of good players at the final table which made my winning worth.”
