Kevin Rabichow Becomes First Run It Once Poker Team Pro; Fatima Moreira de Melo Parts Ways With PokerStars

A high stakes pro and coach at the Run it Once training site, Kevin Rabichow has been announced as first Run it Once Team Pro. The poker platform has been running without any ambassadors for over a year and the poker room founder Phil Galfond has been acting as the public face for the room. However, the online poker upstart has finally added an ambassador in Rabichow, who like Galfond himself, will be playing with his own custom avatar, unlike regular players on the poker platform who have anonymous, random names and avatars each time they start a new online poker session.

Fatima Moreira de Melo Parts Ways with PokerStars

The last remaining sports ambassador, Fatima Moreira de Melo has parted ways with PokerStars. A former Dutch field hockey player and Olympic Gold Medalist who severed as an ambassador of the company confirmed her ten-year-long partnership with online poker giant via a tweet on February 4.

She tweeted, “After a beautiful decade, the relationship with Pokerstars ends. It’s a farewell to this fantastic team, but certainly not to this wonderful game! We will see you soon at the tables.”

Confirming the same, a PokerStars representative said: “We can confirm that Fatima’s contract with us has ended. […] Her Olympic medal is just one achievement among many, during her time at PokerStars she signed impressive results while playing all that is great in poker. Fun and competitive, she encouraged everyone to try their hand at poker.”

The 41-year old has become the last of PokerStars sporting icon pros to part ways with the company that has seen many big names leaving it over the last ten months, including Daniel Negreanu, Maria Konnikova, Liv Boeree, Igor Kurganov, Leo Fernandez, and India’s poker icon Aditya Agarwal.
