AOPS Day 4: Arunkumar Anandan, Abhinav Iyer & Ashish Ahuja Win Big!

What a phenomenal Sunday it was! With the 7 Crore + GTD Adda52 Online Poker Series (AOPS) entering Day 4, the action on India’s no. 1 poker site – adda52.com reached a fever pitch with several big money events taking place on the platform. Almost all Sunday tourneys in the AOPS wrapped-up with a huge success, drawing massive turnouts and crushing their respective guarantees. The biggest event to conclude last night was Adda52’s 60 Lac GTD Mega Suits that logged in a total of 1,743 entries across its three starting flights, generating a whopping prize pool worth INR 87.15 Lac, which was shared by top 185 finishers with a min-cash being INR 16,303. A total of 186 players made it to the event’s finale where it was eventually Arunkumar ‘arunk8186’ Anandan who emerged victorious to walk away with INR 15.74 Lac in top prize, after defeating Niharika ‘Nixiepixie’ Bindra in heads-up, who settled for an impressive 9.90 Lac for her runner-up finish in the event.

The final table of the mega event was full of notable regs and featured the likes of Arjanveer Singh Chadha (3rd for INR 7.12 Lac), Gaurav Sood (4th for INR 5.12 Lac), Sanat Mehrotra (6th for INR 2.64 Lac).

The second biggest event on the AOPS Sunday schedule was the 35 Lac GTD AOPS Millions that drew a total of 420 entries and generated INR 42 Lac in the prize pool, which eventually got distributed among the top 43 finishers with a min-cash of INR 23,100. The lion’s share went to WSOP bracelet winner Abhinav ‘checkshove’ Iyer who shipped the event for a INR 7.60 Lac payday, after agreeing to a 3-way deal with Nishant ‘dojingbullets’ Sharma (runner-up for INR 7.27 Lac) and Sriharsha ‘ivey2’ Doddapaneni (3rd for INR 6.24 Lac). The 20 Lac GTD AOPS Big Slick was the third big guarantee tourney on the AOPS schedule yesterday, and it wrapped up with a grand success, attracting 1,101 entries and resulting in a prize pool worth INR 24.77 Lac. While the top 103 finishers shared the prizepool, the biggest share ultimately went to the lawyer-turned poker pro Ashish ‘rocky3705’ Ahuja who took down the event for an impressive 5.47 Lac. Ahuja was in his peak form last night and also shipped the AOPS Mini PLO for INR 1.23 Lac.
