Devrat Singh Denies Ashish Ahuja Hitman Win; Rishi Mundhra Ships Hexagram!

With the lockdown getting extended till May 3, Indian poker sites continue to enjoy the surge in traffic. India’s no. 1 poker site – hosted several high-value poker tournaments yesterday and the most prominent among them was the 7.5 Lac GTD Hitman that once again wrapped up with a grand success, drawing 389 entries (186 unique and 203 re-entries) and resulting in a hefty INR 12.44 Lac prizepool, which got paid to the top 43 finishers with a min-cash being INR 6,846. In the end, the lion’s share went to notable online reg Devrat ‘vickypune’ Singh who outlasted the lawyer-turned poker pro Ashish ‘rocky3705’ Ahuja (2nd for INR 2.07 Lac) in HU to bank INR 3.36 Lac. Ahuja has been on a winning spree of late and had enjoyed a phenomenal run in the recent AOPS on Adda52.

Other notables ending their run on FT were Guneet Kwatra (5th for INR 64,730), Ritesh Tripathi (6th for INR 43,568) and Romit Advani (8th for INR 28,008). Some other well-known players to finish deep in the tournament included the likes of Bhavye Mittal (11th), Kavish Kukreja (12th), Deepak Raina (13th), Mihir Thakkar (16th), Meherzad Munsaf (17th), Sagar Choudhury (19th), etc.

Devrat is one of the very consistent players on and has plenty of wins and FT finishes to his name. He has already won so many tournaments on the site, including several Beast tourneys, Blaze, multiple wins in Go Goa, Mega Suits, CrackJack, Berlin, and several Hexagram tourneys. Last night, he added one more victory to his fast-growing online poker resume by winning the Hitman.

Talking about his grand win and the field in the tournament, the Hitman winner Devrat Singh, who also finished ITM in Adda52’s Hexagram tourney last night, said, “Shipping a tourney is always special. The field was tough, especially the players on the final table were really good players.”

2.5 Lac GTD Hexagram

Another event to conclude last night was the 2.5 Lac GTD Hexagram that crowned a winner in notable online regular Rishi Mundhra aka ‘ronaldo94’ who eventually defeated well-known pro Sreekanth Narayan aka ‘n0thing’ (runner-up for INR 59,850) to bank INR 95,760 in top prize.

The 2200 buy-in tourney pulled in a total of 171 entries and generated guarantee-crushing INR 3.42 Lac prizepool. Top 17 places got paid and among them Pranav Khandalkar (6th for INR 15390) and Sumit Saurav (8th for 9405), and Archit Dhadwal (9th for 7695) were notable final table finishers.
