WPT Online: Christian Jeppsson Wins Championship; David Peters & Dan Smith Among High Roller Winners!

Christian Jeppsson has won the $3,200 buy-in WPT Online Championship on partypoker! The Swedish poker pro outlasted 2,130 entries to win the event and bank $923,785 prizemoney.

Jeppsson took the chip lead to the final table and continued his dominance to eventually enter heads-up with Viktor Ustimov. Both players agreed to a deal that saw Jeppsson earn $913,783 and Ustimov bank $865.542. Third place finisher Jukka Koskela walked away with $477,333 prize.

Among other big names present on the FT was Sam Greenwood. The well-known pro started the final table with the second largest stack but unfortunately fell in 7th place for the $103,837 payout.

The Championship Event was one of six tournaments that played down to a winner on Wednesday. Featuring a buy-in of $3,200, the event generated a prize pool of $6,390,000 prize pool, crushing its $5 million guarantee. Each of the final tablists locked up $66,775. Dmitry Yurasov bubbled the final table, while Benny Glaser (11th – $51,120), Matthias Eibinger (20th – $28,755), Ema Zajmovic (25th – $21,150), and Matas Cimbolas (37th – $18,594) were among the notable players who made money.

Former GPI Player of the Year David Peters outlasted 101 entries, including David Gent in heads-up to win Event #43: $10,300 High Roller for $247,450. Gent banked a $176,750, while Andras Nemeth was the another big name poker pro who took the final podium spot, finishing third for $126,250.
