APT Online: Malayasia’s Paul Teoh Takes Down Short Deck Championships For $10,786 !

The inaugural Asian Poker Tour (APT) 2020 Online Series at GGNetwork’s Natural8.com nearing its end. Day 9 of the series hosted several high-value tournaments with Short Deck Championship $25K GTD being the star attraction. This was the fourth featured event of the ongoing series which took six hours for the ultimate champion to emerge. Sporting a buy-in of $400, the mega event attracted a total of 132 entries and generated a prize pool of $49,500 which was finally shared by the top 20 finishers. In the end, it was Malayasia’s  Paul Ming Juen Teoh aka ‘DingZhu88’ who took it down after outlasting ‘WinEasy’ in heads-up to bank $10,786, while his final opponent settled for $7,998.

Event 40: $300 Monster Stack $30K GTD

Flight A: 36 advanced out of 103 entries

Flight B: 46 advanced out of 128 entries

The two-day Monster Stack event was once again a crowd favorite. For the third installment, a total of 231were registered across two flights (Flight A – 103, and Flight B – 128) to collect $64,695.50 in the prize pool. Only 82 players advanced to the final day and one flight still remains. Among the 82 qualifiers, ‘HoneyFunny’ (243,537) leads the way, followed by ‘Goldig’ (223,013), and ‘chezs’ (216,319).

Event 42: $100 Short Deck $5,000 GTD

A total of 178 runners joined in, each paying $100. The advertised guarantee was crushed and $16,643 was collected in total prize pool. While the top 31 players finished in the money, taking the lion’s share was ‘sgtPiet’ who walked away $ 3,308.51 in top prizemoney along with the APT trophy.

This $200 buy-in event drew 192 entries, resulting in $35,904 which was shared by top 31 players. Eventually, it ended in a heads-up deal between ‘Rollpounder’ and ‘The Pokermon’. The former emerged the winner and banked $6,196.95, while his opponent settled for $ 6,226 prizemoney.

Another key event on yesterday’s schedule was NLH Turbo that featured a buy-in of $50. The event logged in a total of 448 entries and only the top 71 players shared a piece from $20,994 prize pool. Coming out on top was ‘rapid11’ who busted four players at the final table to ship it for $3,770. The winner outlasted ‘dalyc’ in heads-up who walked away with $2,763 for his runner-up finish.
