WSOP Super Circuit Series On GGPoker Awards Over $134 Million In Prize Money!

The World Series of Poker (WSOP) partnered with GGPoker to host the first-ever WSOP Super Circuit Online Series that ran from May 3 to 31 and featured a mind-boggling $102,365,000 in guarantees across 516 events. Headlining the series were the 18 WSOPC Ring Events, each of which awarded the coveted WSOP ring to the winning player. As expected, the marquee online series turned out to be a smashing success, gathering a whopping 485,851 entries and awarding $134,706,274 in prizemoney.

The largest prize pool of the series came in the WSOPC Ring Event #8: HR Championship $10M GTD that generated $12,372,500 prizepool via 505 entries. It was Costa Rica’s “800-522-4700” who topped the field in that $25,000 buy-in event to bank $2.1 million in top prize, while Patrick “Babu$hka” Leonard walked away with a hefty $1,611,342 for his runner-up finish in the tournament.

The largest field of the series came in the WSOPC Ring Event #9: ‘Mini Main Event’. The $1,000,000 guaranteed event featuring $100 buy-in saw a field of 29,357 entries and smashed its guarantee with a $2,700,844 collected in prizepool. It was Malaysia’s “miya111” who shipped it for $278,361 prize.

Another noteworthy stat from the series came in the WSOPC Ring Event #1: COVID-19 Charity Event that raised an impressive $177,045 for the Nevada COVID-19 Task Force. Topping the field in this event geared towards social cause was Canada’s “TheMadQueen” who banked $269,267 for his win.

Interestingly enough, much of the the WSOPC Ring Event action was streamed live on Twitch via GGPoker.TV, which proved a massive hit with thousands of poker enthusiasts following the action.
