2020 WSOP Online: Thi Truong Wins Event #74: $1,500 PLO For $215,938

Canada’s Thi Truong topped a field of 972 entries on Thursday in Event #74:$1,500 Pot Limit Omaha of the 2020 World Series of Poker (WSOP) Online. She came out on top of a tough FT that included top-ranked online poker players, Team partypoker Pro Joao Simao, and Enrico Camosci who has already captured a WSOP bracelet at the series, to claim her first WSOP bracelet and $215,938 prize.

Two female players, namely Kristen Bicknell and Nahrain “2Rivers” Tamero, have already won the bracelet at the series and Truong became the third after capturing her first bracelet in Event #74.

Top 134 players were paid from $1,385,100 in prizepool with a min-cash of $3,412 and notables to finish ITM were Brian England, Felipe Ramos, Alexander Fitasov, Rui Ferreira & Jesus Cortes.

The final table was replete with big names. It was the eventual champ Thi Truong who started the FT as chip leader and went on to take the advantage of her massive stack. She eliminated five players on her way to the title. She began the final table journey in style by eliminating Johannes Toebbe (9th) whose Kc Qc 10s 4s failed to beat out Truong’s As Ks Jh 9c on a board of Js 7c 4d Kh 6d.

Following Toebbe were the likes of Sean Winter (8th), Frank Crivello (7th), Kyle Bowker (6th), Laurynas Levinskas (5th) and Team partypoker Pro Joao Simao (4th). After the elimination of Dante Goya (3rd), it eventually came down to heads-up between Truong and Italy’s Enrico Camosci, with the former holding a 2-1 lead over his opponent. It took less than five minutes for Truong to wrap up things.

On the final hand, Camosci limped and Truong raised to 600,000. Camosci called and the two saw a flop of 10d 4c 2h. Truong fired out a bet of 800,000 and Camosci raised to 3,600,000 and Truong called. The turn was the 8c and Truong shoved and Camosci called for his tournament life. Camosci tabled 9h 6d 5c 3s, while Truong showed Ac Ad 8s 4s. The 2c river was a brick to eliminate Camosci in second place and give Truong the title, her first WSOP bracelet plus a ticket to the WSOP Europe.
