WPTOI Day 7: Saigal & Purohit Win WPT Trophy Events; Manocha Takes Down Moonlight; Saraf Leads Mini ME 1A

Powered by Adda52.com, the 13.5 Crore guaranteed WPT Online India (WPTOI) continued on 11th November and what an incredible day of poker action it was. An impressive 3636 entries enrolled for the day, crushing the day’s overall INR 57.20 Lac guarantee and generating a massive INR 63,40,764 in prizemoney. There were a total of 9 tournaments coming to a conclusion including the two trophy events. While some of the biggest names from across the country took to the felt, the seasoned MTT pro Jasven Saigal took down the biggest trophy event of the day, the 20 Lac GTD WPT Wednesday Feature, to win his first WPT Online title, an impressive INR 5.54 Lac and a magnificent WPT trophy.

The second trophy event, the 17 Lac GTD WPT Deepstack, was won by Online MTT crusher Anant Purohit who earned a good INR 5.07 Lac and a beautiful WPT Trophy for his win. Anuj Manocha shipped the 6 Lac GTD WPT Moonlight for INR 1.27 Lac. Day 7 of the series also saw the Day 1A of the 25 Lac GTD WPT India Mini Main Event and emerging as the chip leader at the end of the day was Binit Saraf with a stack of 296,037 chips. 25 Lac GTD WPT Mini Main Event Day 1A

The 25 Lac GTD WPT India Mini Main Event sporting a buy-in of INR 1100 played out its first flight – Day 1A yesterday. The tourney got off to a great start, pulling in 419 entries. Fallowing 29 levels of play, only 49 players could survive. Bagging the chip lead for the day was Binit Saraf aka ‘Punter27’ (296,037). Loveleen ‘pharlap’ Singh (268,438) & ‘Poker_king52’ (243,675) rounded out top 3 stacks.

20 Lac GTD WPT Wednesday Feature With INR 2750 Buy-in

The biggest trophy event on Day 7 of the ongoing WPT Online India series, the 20 Lac GTD WPT Wednesday Feature, enjoyed an eventful run pulling in a total of 904 entries to easily crush its guarantee and generate a massive INR 22.60 Lac in prize pool that was shared by top 92 players.

After 8 and a half hours of gruelling play, the seasoned MTT pro Jasven Saigal aka “bajateraho” came out on top to win first-ever WPT Trophy and an impressive INR 5,53,700 in top prizemoney.

Saigal, who already holds several prestigious poker titles to his including 3 DPT titles, outlasted a strong FT that had online regs in Gaurav “zillastar” Bhandari (runner-up for INR 3,02,840), Gokul “Niruha” Raj (3rd for INR 2,06,790), Dhinesh “dinzy009” Kumar (4th for INR 1,50,290), Kamal “Kjo” Joshi (5th for INR 98,310), and Nishaanth “superdeluxe” Shanmughasundaram (6th for INR 67,800).

17 Lac GTD WPT Deepstack With INR 7500 Buy-in

As mentioned, there were two trophy tournaments on Day 7 schedule of the WPT Online India. The second trophy event, the 17 Lac GTD WPT Deepstack, also fared pretty well, logging in a total of 289 entries and collecting INR 19.80 Lac in prize money. Coming out on top of the reg-infested field was none other than the online poker phenom Anant Purohit aka ‘pro_baba’, who earned INR 5,06,790 in top prize and hist first WPT trophy. Mohit ‘tinda2706’ Mittal finished runner-up for INR 3,01,897.

Rajat “happyfish” Mahajan (3rd for INR 2,27,660),Nazeer “Naz0506” Ahamed (4th for INR 1,68,270), Vikranth “borntrouble” Varma (6th for INR 79,186), Sandeep “effuno” Varma (7th for INR 59,390) & Akshay “Powershell” Asawa (8th for INR 49,491) were the other notables who posted FT finishes.

6 Lac GTD WPT Moonlight With INR 1750 Buy-in

Sporting a buy-in of INR 1750, the 6 Lac GTD WPT Moonlight drew an impressive 379 entries to surpass its guarantee and collect a prizepool of INR 6.21 Lac that was shared by top 38 players.

Anuj Manocha aka ‘chocha’ topped the field to ship it for INR INR 1.27 Lac, following a heads-up deal with Achal ‘Believerinpain95’ Sonale who banked INR 1.23 Lac for his runner-up finish.

Also at the FT were Nitesh “nitkat” katiyar (3rd for INR 68,372) & Vashi “fiery” Vas (5th for INR 33,564).

5 Lac GTD WPT Classic With INR 1500 Buy-in

Racing past the competition in the WPT Classic was mystery user ‘krisnair’ who banked INR 1.3 Lac after outlasting 271 entries, including Devrat ‘vickypune’ Singh (runner-up for INR 77,500).
