Day 9 of the 13.5 Crore GTD festival was an action-packed day with as many as 10 tournaments, with 9 of them coming to a conclusion. Like all previous days, the day’s overall guarantee was easily smashed on the back of 3,216 entries that resulted in a whopping INR 56,39,001 prize money for the day. While several players won big, stealing the spotlight was Ujjwal Narwal who shipped the biggest trophy tourney of the day, the 20 Lac GTD WPT Friday Feature, to add a WPT Trophy and INR 6.45 Lac to his list of achievements. The second trophy event on the day’s schedule, the 10 Lac GTD WPT Mini PLO, was taken down by ‘vishal_jain‘ who earned INR 2.21 Lac and a magnificent WPT trophy for his win.

25 Lac GTD WPT India Mini ME Day 1C
The 25 Lac GTD WPT India Mini Main Event played out its third of its seven starting flights. Day 1C of the high-value tourney pulled in a total of 395 entries. Following the 29 stipulated levels of play, only 42 runners could survive to bag stacks for the event’s finale. Rajesh Singh aka ‘phanthom’ (391,498) emerged as the chip leader, while ‘pokerbrat032’ (369,354), ‘AACES71’ (349,019), Chirag ‘mahikk’ Bhardwaj (239,930) and Bhavit ‘Tyrogambit’ Jain (221,652) ended the day among other big stacks.
20 Lac GTD WPT Friday Feature
The biggest WPT Trophy event of the day, the 20 Lac GTD WPT Friday Feature, enjoyed an eventful run, pulling in 439 entries and resulting in a guarantee-crushing prize pool worth INR 26.34 Lac. After almost nine hours of intense play, online MTT reg Ujjwal Narwal aka ‘fourteenk’ came out on top of the strong field after outlasting another reg Kanchan ‘thandicoke’ Sharma (runner-up for INR 3.81 Lac) in heads-up. The lawyer-turned poker pro Ashish ‘rocky3705’ Ahuja (3rd for INR 2.63 Lac), who had won WPT Tuesday Feature of the series on 10th November, took the final spot on the podium.
Friday’s WPT Mini PLO champion “vishal_jain” (5th for INR 1,31,700) and Chandan ‘darkfish15’ Arora (6th for INR 92,190) were the other players to post final table finishes in the marquee Friday tourney.
10 Lac GTD WPT Mini PLO
The other WPT trophy event, the 10 Lac GTD WPT Mini PLO, registered 139 entries, suffering an overlay of INR 47,850. Racing past the competition was ‘vishal_jain’, who banked INR 2.21 Lac after outlasting ‘John7549’ (runner-up for INR 2.19 Lac) in the heads-up play. The well-known pro Sumit Sapra aka “hammer_head” took the final spot on the podium, finishing 3rd for INR1,25,000.
5 Lac GTD WPT Classic
The 5 Lac GTD WPT Classic, clocked in a total of 312 runners, and the top 34 places got paid. In the end, it was Prafull Hasbe aka ‘bulletsbaby’ who shipped it for INR 1.17 Lac in top prize and the WPT Online title. Mystery user ‘pizzakhanahai’ collected INR 83,340 for his/her runner-up finish.
3 Lac GTD WPT Multiplier
The 3 Lac GTD WPT Multiplier did pretty well, drawing in a total of 294 entries to easily surpass its guarantee and generate a prizepool worth INR 3.67 Lac, which was finally shared by top 30 players.
Walking away with the lion’s share of the prizepool was Ram Kakkar aka “mowgumotu” who struck a heads-up deal with Pradip Ghosh “Nit2Donk” (2nd for INR 65,613) to bank INR 70,939.
