There was already a ton of value waiting for the players competing in the WPT Online India (WPTOI) with a whopping INR 13.5 Crores in guaranteed prizepool and some value-packed online satellites. Adding to the excitement, Adda52 and WPT then decided to put up a massive 35 Lac in leaderboard prizes for the top performing players of the WPTOI series. Two leaderboards are in play – the the 25 Lac Mega Player of the Series Leaderboard and the 10 Lac Mini Player of the Series Leaderboard.
Both Leaderboards award the top 10 players. While the Mega Leaderboard winner receives a hefty 10 Lac prizemoney, the champion of the Mini Leaderboard will be awarded a cool 3 Lac prizemoney.
With the WPT Online India series on Adda52 inching towards its conclusion, the competition for the Player of the Series has tightened up. Raghav Bansal aka ‘balugawhale’ is the man to catch on the Mega Leaderboard, while mystery player ‘Beatthefish66’ leads the way on the Mini Leaderboard.
Mega Leaderboard
Raghav Bansal tops the chart thanks to his impressive victory in the 30 Lac WPT Thursday Feature last night where he topped 640 entries to win INR 8 Lac and earn enough points to have a good lead on the Mega Leaderboard. It has already been a good series for the poker phenom as he shipped the 30 Lac GTD WPT Big Game to win INR 9.67 Lac and his first WPT Trophy on the opening day of the series. He then picked up a runner-up score worth INR 5.10 Lac in the WPT India Mini Highroller.
The WPT India 2019 Main Event champ Ashish Munot ‘ragspoker’ is the nearest rival when it comes to leaderboard points. Like Bansal, he has been one of the top performers at the series and has won two trophy events so far. He won the 30 Lac GTD Mega Stack on 15th November to win INR 9.04 Lac before taking down the 20 Lac GTD WPT Wednesday Feature on 18th November to win INR 4.11 Lac.
Unsurprisingly, Ashish Ahuja ‘rocky3705’ is also in contention with a win in the 15 Lac GTD WPT Monday Feature, and a few deep finishes in other big ticket events at the series. Other big name players in contention include WPT Kickoff champion Ayush Garg aka “lazyman” and WPT Deepstack winner Siddarth Singhvi aka “badtameez_donk”. Mini Leaderboard
Mystery player ‘Beatthefish66’ is now the man to catch at the top of the mini leaderboard following his back-to-back wins in the WPT Hustle and WPT Classic on 18th November and his second WPT Hustle win on 19th November. It has been incredible series for the player as he has won as many as 8 titles at the series and has also made plenty of FT finishes. He is followed by ‘Lokimon’ who has won as many as 6 tournaments, apart from making several runner-up and FT finishes at the series. Following them is RJ Prakash aka ‘prakash7639’ who has picked up several wins and FT finishes.
